Mobile Tyre Fitting & Emergency Roadside

Mobile Tyre Fitting & Emergency Roadside in Winchester

Around Winchester the practical issue with a tyre is the same one we hit with every job near the centre: can a working van stand safely, and for long enough? Restricted and pedestrianised streets rule out a lot of otherwise sensible parking spots, and the park-and-ride sites on the edge of the city are usually more workable. Tell us where you are and we will confirm a space. We will always tell you when a puncture is beyond safe repair rather than fitting something temporary.

HOW WE WORK

How a tyre job works

  1. 01

    Assess the damage

Tread damage may be repairable; shoulder and sidewall damage generally is not, and we tell you which yours is.

  2. 02

    Confirm the tyre

We check availability against your registration or the size on your sidewall before travelling.

  3. 03

    Fit at your location

Home, work or a car park — the vehicle does not need to go anywhere else.

  4. 04

    Torque and finish

The wheel is refitted and torqued properly before you drive away.

THE SITUATION

A puncture a short walk from the centre

The driver was up near the cathedral with a slow puncture, in the part of Winchester where we are not allowed to stop and would not try. We agreed the park-and-ride on the edge, and he walked, which made the whole call straightforward and cost the same as working in the high street would have. The puncture was in the tread and repairable, so we repaired it rather than selling a tyre he did not need, which is the outcome most drivers do not expect when they assume every puncture means a replacement. We balanced the wheel and checked the other three, and one had a slow leak that would have been a call in a month. Twenty minutes of work, most of it waiting for him to walk back. If you are up by the centre, say so and we will use the edge of the city. It is not a worse job.

QUESTIONS

Questions about tyres & roadside in Winchester

Can you come to me if I get a puncture in Winchester?

Yes. Punctures and blowouts are routine callouts for us across Winchester, at home, at work and at the roadside.

Can every puncture be repaired?

No. Damage close to the shoulder or on the sidewall is generally not safely repairable, and a run-flat that has been driven on can be beyond repair too. We will tell you which case yours is.

How do I tell you which tyre I need in Winchester?

Send your registration and we will confirm the correct size from the vehicle data, or read the size printed on your sidewall — for example 205/55 R16.

LOCAL ADVICE

Practical advice for Winchester

  • If you are near the centre, tell us and we will use a park-and-ride or an edge-of-centre space. The price does not change and the job is easier.
  • A tread puncture is usually repairable and a sidewall one is not. Ask us which before you agree to a replacement.
  • If you are near the centre we cannot work there, so expect to walk to the park-and-ride. It is not a worse job and it is usually a faster one.
