Mobile Tyre Fitting & Emergency Roadside

Mobile Tyre Fitting & Emergency Roadside in Bournemouth

Bournemouth wears tyres out in a particular way. Kerbside parking means plenty of short journeys, and the seafront roads get salt and grit treatment in the winter months. A slow leak will often go unnoticed until the warning light appears, because a tyre loses pressure gradually and the car still drives normally. If a warning light is showing, tell us — a slow leak and a blowout are very different jobs, and only one of them is an emergency.

HOW WE WORK

How a tyre job works

  1. 01

    Assess the damage

Tread damage may be repairable; shoulder and sidewall damage generally is not, and we tell you which yours is.

  2. 02

    Confirm the tyre

We check availability against your registration or the size on your sidewall before travelling.

  3. 03

    Fit at your location

Home, work or a car park — the vehicle does not need to go anywhere else.

  4. 04

    Torque and finish

The wheel is refitted and torqued properly before you drive away.

THE SITUATION

A blowout coming off the cliff road

The car had come off the cliff road with a tyre down to the canvas and was crawling on the rim. The first priority was not the tyre, it was the location: a vehicle on a rim on a cliff road does not stop, so we had the driver pull into the first space that existed and told us before we set off, rather than sending a van to the exact spot and finding it unusable. Once we were there the work was straightforward, because a blown tyre is the least ambiguous fault we deal with. We fitted a replacement, balanced the wheel, and checked the torque with a wrench rather than an impact gun, which is the most common reason a refitted wheel comes loose again. The rim had visible damage from driving on it, and we said so rather than letting the driver assume a new tyre was the whole answer.

QUESTIONS

Questions about tyres & roadside in Bournemouth

Do you carry tyres on the van in Bournemouth?

We carry a selection of common sizes. For anything less common we confirm availability from your registration or the sidewall size before we set off, so you are not left waiting.

Can you fit tyres at my house or work?

Yes. Fitting at your home, workplace or car park is the most common job we do — there is no need to book into a garage.

What if I break down on a motorway?

Move as far off the carriageway as you safely can, switch on hazard lights and call us with your location. We will guide you while we travel.

LOCAL ADVICE

Practical advice for Bournemouth

  • Tell us the nearest usable space rather than the exact spot. A rim cannot be driven far, and somewhere a van can legally stop saves us both time.
  • We check wheel torque with a wrench rather than an impact gun. Over-torqued bolts on an alloy are a slow-motion version of a wheel coming off.
  • On the seafront or the cliff roads, tell us which space you are in. A vehicle on a rim cannot be moved far, so somewhere a van can legally stop matters more here than anywhere else we cover.
